Two arrested mercenaries confirmed that ISIS mercenaries live in Turkish territory and ISIS is trying to organize itself inside and outside Al-Hol camp, while Turkey is providing the necessary support for these group.
The joint forces in the "Enduring Security" operation, the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Internal Security Forces, and the Women's Protection Units, which was launched on November 6 and lasted for seven days, in Al-Hol camp and its surroundings arrested 79 ISIS mercenaries, and found quantities of weapons and ammunition, and several tunnels.
Two mercenaries among those arrested in Al-Hol camp spoke about some important details related to them.
The mercenary Barq Fawaz Suhail, who hails from the Iraqi city of Anbar worked as a media figure for ISIS, he joined ISIS with assistance his mercenary uncle Ali Suhail al-Abdullah, nicknamed Abu Yahya, who was responsible for ISIS recruits in Anbar.
Barq confirmed that he joined the mercenaries’ military ranks without receiving military or religious training, under the sponsorship of his uncle, and participated in many battles against the Iraqi army in Anbar and its suburbs.
Barq was injured in one of the clashes in the “Akashat” area, an Iraqi city located in the Al-Waleed district between the cities of Rutba and Al-Qaim. After receiving treatment, he refused to return to the mercenaries, which led to his arrest.
The terrorist, Barq said that his mission was to film ISIS clashes, and they focused greatly on filming videos of the dead and promoting ISIS in the media. He also displayed these videos on media sites as a kind of promotion for them.
Barq confirmed that most of the modern media equipment was reaching them via Turkey.
"We received many types of modern equipment, including cameras, via Turkey,"
The terrorist said.
The mercenary Barq fled to Syrian territory, after the Iraqi army advanced towards ISIS-controlled areas in Anbar, and settled in the city of Albu Kamal in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, after which he moved to the city of Al-Susa, and settled there for a period of time.
After the Syrian Democratic Forces advanced towards the strongholds of ISIS mercenaries in Deir ez-Zor, the mercenary Barq convinced a smuggler among the mercenaries, called "Abu Yaqin", to head towards the Syrian Democratic Forces-held areas.
"Abu Yaqin" agreed, so he headed with his remaining family, but he drove him to a road full of mines. While Barq was heading with his family to the Syrian Democratic Forces-held areas, a mine exploded, which led to the amputation of his foot.
The Syrian Democratic Forces rushed to rescue him and his family, and he was taken to a hospital in the area.
After a while, Barq remained in Al-Hol camp, but he continued to work with ISIS mercenaries, and he was receiving support and equipment from the Turkish -controlled areas.
"All the equipment was reaching us through the areas of Aleppo, Azaz, Tal Abyad and Ain Issa, from Turkey, even the wounded ISIS were transferred to Turkish hospitals for treatment, " the terrorist added.
The mercenary Barq mentioned that a mercenary named "Abu Farouk al-Ansari, an Iraqi national" received treatment in Turkey, and returned to the ranks of ISIS again after 3 months of treatment.
While the mercenary Hussein Hanoush Khalaf al-Ubaidi from the Baaj district in the Iraqi province of Mosul, who joined ISIS mercenaries in 2015, and worked in the administration of distributing salaries for ISIS families.
He says that they entered Syrian territory after the Iraqi army advanced towards Baaj, and began heading to the Dashisha area in the countryside of Hasaka. There in Dashisha, his son "Harith" was killed during ISIS battles.
The mercenary Hussein Hanoush continued his work of distributing the money that was coming to them from the Turkish areas.
